Cardinals continue to roll over MAC opponents

The Ball State baseball team clinched their 6th straight series win over a MAC opponent by beating Eastern Michigan 18-11. Kory Benbow had 3 home runs and was 5-for-5 with 6 RBI and 5 runs scored. The team had 6 home runs in all and pounded out 20 hits. Cal Bowling gave up 4 earned runs in 5 innings to get the win. Jon Cisna pitched 3 innings to get his first save of the year. The final game of the series is today at 1pm. BSU is now 22-21 and 13-4 in the MAC. They lead the MAC West division by half a game over Toledo.

The Ball State softball team won their 7th straight game, blanking Western Michigan 13-0. Elizabeth Milian became the all-time leader in wins as she upped her record to 25-5 this season. Milian struck out 8 and only allowed 3 hits in her 5 innings. Alyssa Collins had 3 hits and 3 RBI in the game. The final game of the series is today at 1pm. The Cardinals are 35-13 overall and 13-4 in the MAC. They lead second-place Central Michigan by 2.5 games in the MAC West.
