The Braves were held in check for 7-1/3 innings of no-hit ball by the Nationals' Scott Olsen, but three hits and an error in the 8th inning allowed Atlanta to tie the game at 2. Jason Heyward's pinch-hit single scored the two runs in the inning. However, the ninth inning was not too kind to the Braves as Eric O'Flaherty gave up a lead-off walk then Peter Moylan allowed a double, an intentional walk and a RBI single to end the game. The lack of offense for the Braves ruined a good performance by starter Tim Hudson. Huddy gave up 2 earned runs in seven innings. The runs were allowed on two solo home runs, so Hudson was throwing very well. The Braves travel to Philly to play the division leading Phillies. The Braves are 5 games behind in the NL East and the wild card.
