The Brownsburg baseball team beat Avon last night 11-5. The score was tied at 2 in the bottom of the third when Bulldog pitcher Isaac Sampen hit a 3-run homer to make it a 5-2 game. After a hit and a couple of walks, the bases were loaded and Avon had to switch pitchers. The pitcher then proceeded to throw two straight wild pitches to allow two runs to score. A few more hits and walks later, the Bulldogs scored 7 runs in the inning to take a 9-2 lead. Sampen pitched 6 innings to get the win. BBurg is 14-3 overall and 6-3 in the HCC, one game behind Hamilton SE for the conference lead. The Dogs will complete Monday's suspended game at Avon today. Brownsburg is down 2-0 in the 4th inning when play will resume.
The Brownsburg softball team was shut-out by Harrison last night 5-0. The Dogs could only manage 2 hits against Raider pitcher Brooke Jordan. The Dogs are 7-10 overall and 3-3 in the HCC. They travel to Fishers tonight and Plainfiled tomorrow before having the weekend off for the prom.
