Lady Bulldogs win LC Invitational

In the second game, the lady Dogs beat Triton Central going into the half and coming out of the half. Over the second and third quarters, BBurg had a 28-10 advantage. The final score was 50-29. Junior Ryne Carr led the Dogs with 13 points while Mavunga chipped in with 12 points of her own. The Dogs play on Saturday at home against University High School. Varsity game time is 2:30. Brownsburg is a 22-point favorite according to the Sagarin Ratings.

Once again: great defense + no offense = loss
The Redskins held Dallas to 17 points in a great defensive effort, however, the offense failed to score a point in a 17-0 defeat to the hated Cowboys. It all comes down to the offensive line. The line has been banged up, as the team started it's 11th different line combination in the 15 games this season. Also, our running backs have been hurt. Combine those and the running backs ran for 30 yards on 14 carries. When you can't run the ball, the defense knows your going to pass. Jason Campbell had no time to throw the ball as he threw mostly short passes, going 24 of 39 for 199 yards and 1 INT. The interception was not his fault as the ball was tipped. Anyways, 5.1 yards per pass attempt is not going to win ball games for the Skins. LaRon Landry had 11 total tackles to lead the defense. London Fletcher chipped in with 8 tackles and a pass defensed. The season mercifully ends next Sunday against the Chargers.
The Brownsburg basketball teams start play this week after the Christmas break. The girls team travels to Lawrence Central on Tuesday to play in the LC invitational. The Dogs play Beech Grove in game one and will play either Triton Central or LC in the night game. BBurg is a 10 point favorite against Beech Grove. The boys team travels to Perry Meridian on Wednesday as 5 point underdogs.
