Winning is the only thing that matters

The Braves won their fifth game in a row last night, beating the Nationals 7-3. Tim Hudson rebounded from his flat performance last week to give up 1 earned run in 6 2/3 innings. Matt Diaz had 3 hits. Martin Prado, Brian McCann, and Gregor Blanco each had 2 hits. Prado and Hudson each had 2 RBI. John Smoltz goes to the mound tonight against Washington needing 4 strikeouts to become the 16th pitcher to reach 3,000 for his career. Game time is 710pm.

The fifth-ranked Brownsburg Bulldogs pulled out a close victory against Hamilton SE last night, 5-4. Jake Houston had the game winning hit in the bottom of the 7th inning. Alex Berlyn pitched 5 innings and gave up three runs. Tucker Barnhart pitched the final two innings, giving up one run and getting the win. The Dogs play at Hamilton SE tonight.

The Democractic primary in Pennsylvania is tonight. Hilary Clinton should win by about 8 points. But, any gain she makes in delegates tonight will be negated by Barack Obama's win in North Carolina on May 6th by about the same margin. Personally, I think Hilary should just give up. There is no way that she can win the nomination. Obama leads in the number of delegates, the number of popular votes, and the number of states won. There are not enough delegates in the remaining states to put her into the lead in any of those categories. The Democrats need to settle on a candidate so that they can start campaining against John McCain and take back the White House after eight years of questionable rule.
