Is it Friday yet? Yes, it is!

The Atlanta Braves shutout the Marlins last night 8-0. John Smoltz pitched 5 innings and four pitchers from the bullpen threw one inning each to combine for the shutout. Chipper Jones was 4-4 with 2 homers to extend his league-leading batting average to .443. They host the Dodgers on Friday to start a three-game series.

Ball State closer Kyle Heyne has been named on the watch list for the NCBWA Stopper of the Year award. He is the only MAC pitcher to be named to the list. Heyne became Ball State's all-time save leader earlier this year. He has 31 career saves.

The Brownsburg Bulldogs beat Terre Haute North last night, 21-9. Mitch Jankowski got his second win of they year on the mound. Joel Stucker and Zach Harrison each hit their first home runs of the season. The Bulldogs are now 8-1. They have a tough schedule next week. They play Hamilton SE and Westfield for two games each and they play Cathedral at Victory Field on Saturday April 26th.
