Walk this way....

The Braves lost to the Marlins 4-0 last night. Braves starter Jair Jurrjens gave up two runs in six innings for his first quality start of the season. He has been pitching well, but the offense hasn't helped him in his two losses, scoring 3 total runs in those two games. The bullpen did not pitch well last night, walking in two runs in the 8th inning to halt any chance of a Braves comeback. Once Pete Moylan and Rafael Soriano are back from the DL, the bullpen should be a little more solid. The offense showed little life, but Chipper Jones was 2-4, raising his league-leading batting average to .415. Staff ace Tim Hudson pitches tonight for the Braves as they play the Marlins at 710pm.

The Ball State Cardinals baseball team beat Indiana State 14-13 in 10 innings. The Cards had 5 homers, including a walk-off winner by Ryan Chenoweth. Dean Anna had 3 homers and 6 RBI to lead the team. BSU is now 20-11 on the season. They play at Indiana on Wednesday at 3pm.

The Brownsburg Bulldogs beat Noblesville last night 17-6. Jake Houston had 2 homers and Alex Berlyn got his second win of the season on the mound. The Bulldogs are 7-0 on the season and 3-0 in the conference. They go to Noblesville tonight to complete the home/home series.
