The Braves have nine games left this season. As of today, they are 6 games behind in the NL East and 1/2 game ahead of San Diego and 3.5 games ahead of Colorado in the wild card race. Atlanta has three three-game series remaining with the Nationals, Marlins, and Phillies. The Nationals series is on the road, while the other two series are at home, where the Braves have the second best home record in the NL. Hopefully a 6-3 stretch can get us to the playoffs.
The Padres play the Reds this weekend while NL-West leading San Fran plays the Rockies. All four of those teams still have something to play for, whether it be home-field advantage, winning the NL West, or just trying to get to the playoffs.
