Brownsburg falls behind early, then mashes their way to victory over Ben Davis
Brownsburg starter Ryan Rhodes had a tough time on the mound, getting out of a jam in the first inning without allowing a run. However, he was not so lucky in the second inning, allowing 5 runs (1 earned). The Dogs were behind 5-3 after an inning and a half. From that point on, it was all Brownsburg. The Dogs hit 5 home runs and outscored Ben Davis 13-1 to get a 16-6 victory. Home runs were hit by Ben Blystone, Alex McGowan, Justin Hartnagel, David Oliger, and Tyler Hampton. Blystone had 4 hits, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Hartnagel had 4 RBI. Macklin Runyon got the win in relief. The team is off today and plays HCC foe McCutcheon on Wednesday and Thursday and travels to Madison to play Madison and Silver Creek on Saturday. The team is batting .431 this season and the pitchers have given up 6 earned runs in 30 innings for a 1.40 ERA.
