Things are a lot different this year

Last year for Ball State's senior night, the Cardinals were 11-0 and playing Western Michigan in front of a full house of 23,000 fans with a chance to win the MAC West title. This year, the Cards are 1-9 and may have 5,000 fans show up for the game on a cold and rainy night in Muncie. The game is against Central Michigan and is on TV at 8pm on ESPN2.

In that same vein, the Brownsburg girls basketball team lost to Danville last year 43-36. It was the first time that they had lost to Danville in at least 10 years. This year, they took it to them early, jumping out to a 15-1 lead after one quarter and crusing to a 49-22 victory in the first round of the Hendricks County tourney. Ryne Carr and Stephanie Mavunga each had 10 points to lead the team. Erika Lesch chipped in with 8 points including two three pointers. The Dogs will face Cascade in the semi-finals on Friday night.
