The Dogs never had a chance

The Brownsburg girls basketball team hosted defending champ Ben Davis last night and took a 3-2 lead very early in the game. Of course, it was all Ben Davis from that point on as BD scored 10 straight points using their full-court press and ferocious man-to-man defense. The Giants led 18-5 after one quarter. The score was 30-16 at the half. Ben Davis put their starters back in to start the second half and had an 18-2 run to start the third quarter to put the game away. The Giants won the game 61-30. Ryne Carr led the Bulldogs with 8 points, including two three pointers. The Giants were led by Bria Goss with 19 points. Jordan Huber chipped in with 10 points and Dee Dee Williams had 8. The Bulldogs play Danville in the county tourney on Tuesday at 745pm.

The Redskins host Denver this afternoon at 1pm. The Skins are a 3 point underdog and the over/under is 36. Clinton Portis is out for Washington and backup Ladell Betts is questionable with a sprained ankle. Rock Cartwright may end up getting a lot of carries. The game should be a defensive struggle and the team that make the fewest mistakes and creates some opportunities will have a good chance of winning.
