MAC Football quarter-final game today

The Northern Illinois/Ohio game today will serve as a quarter-final match for the conference title. The winner of this game plays for the division title next week, then the division winners will play on December 4th in the MAC championship. In today's game Ohio is a 1-point favorite, so it should be a pretty good game. Game time is 2pm.

There is only one other MAC game today as Kent State tries to keep it's bowl hopes alive when they travel to MAC-East leader Temple. Kent State is 5-5, so a victory here would help their bowl chances. They host Buffalo next week. Six wins does not assure a bowl game, but 7 wins should get a game somewhere in December.

Browsnburg's girls basketball team cruised to a 60-42 victory over Cascade in the Hendricks County semi-finals last night. Freshman Stephanie Mavunga scored 18 points while Lindsey Dall had 12 and Ryne Carr scored 10. The Dogs will play Plainfield tonight. Plainfield beat Avon 49-36 in the other semi-final match. Brownsburg has lost their last 6 games against Plainfield and 8 of their last 9. The Dogs have not beat the Quakers since Dec 15th, 2004.
