The Ball State Cardinals got thrashed by Central Michigan on Wednesday night, 35-3. The result was expected as CMU is a really good football team and BSU is not quite there yet. The big play for CMU was at the end of the second quarter when Antonio Brown caught a pass from Dan Lefevour and streaked down the sideline for a 82-yard touchdown to make the game 21-3. The Cards play their final game next Tuesday at Western Michigan on the ESPN family of networks.
Drew Storen finished the regular season of the Arizona Fall League by getting his 4th save of the season. He gave up 2 hits, but struck out two batters and did not allow a run. He finished the season 2-0 with 4 saves and a 0.66 ERA. He led the league in ERA and saves and was second in games finished. He may still be a year away from the bigs, but he certainly showed that he can play with the best prospects in the league.
The Browsnburg girls basketball team faces Cascade tonight in the semi-finals of the Hendricks County tourney. The Dogs have not played the Cadets since 2003, but I think we should not have a problem defeating them and moving to the finals. Plainfield and Avon play in the other semi-final, a game that Plainfield should win handily. Plainfield is defintely the class of the field and I don't think that BBurg could even give them a game. We will see....
