What has happened to the Redskins?

The Redskins lost to the Giants yesterday 31-7. It's not that they lost, but how they lost. Here is the drive sequence for the Skins on Sunday

The offense couldn't hold on to the ball and the defense couldn't stop anybody. The Giants rushed for 197 yards and a 5.5 yard average. New York gained more yards than the Redskins in fewer plays.

In Washington, the team is normally known for its defense but is ranked in the bottom fourth of the league in the major categories. They are 23rd in points against, 31st in yards allowed, 29th in passing yards allowed, and 28th in rushing yards allowed.

The offense isn't much better. They are 28th in points, 20th in yards gained, and 27th in rushing. The team is 9th in passing yards, but that is an effect of playing from behind in most games.

I'm not sure what needs to be done. All I know is that the Skins are 3 games out of a playoff spot with 4 games left, so it doesn't look good.

The only bright spot is that there are 114 days until baseball's opening day....
