The Redskins host NFC East rival New York tonight on Monday Night Football. They hope to play the spoiler role and virtually eliminate the Giants from playoff contention. Jason Campbell will see if he can keep his streak going as he has played very well over the past month. What better way to show the nation that you can still throw the ball even if you don't have too much time to throw it. The Skins are a 3 point underdog with an over/under of 44.
The Atlanta Braves signed former Cardinal Joe Thurston to a split contract that includes a spring training invite. Thurston batted .225 with an OPS+ of 72 and a -3.7 runs per year fielding. I'm not sure what this signing does for the team as Thurston is a below average hitter and fielder and will be 30 years old. Unless we need a warm body to fill a slot at Gwinnett, I am not impressed with this signing.
