The Braves lost to the Red Sox last night 4-1. Josh Beckett continued his dominance of Atlanta by throwing 7 innings of shutout ball. Jair Jurrjens pitched for the Braves and did well, as usual, and did not get any run support, as ususal. Jurrjens pitched 8 innings and gave up 3 runs, but the offense was non-existent. Casey Kotchman had 3 hits and David Ross had a solo homer. The teams play today at 415p. Javier Vasquez will pitch for the Braves while Tim Wakefield will pitch for the Red Sox.
Drew Storen pitched his first scoreless inning in pro ball last night. He gave up one hit and struck out one batter. In three innings of work this season, he has a 9.00 ERA and 5 strikeouts.
