The Rockies took a 4-2 lead into the ninth inning in game 4 of the NLDS, but could not get the third out before the Phillies put 3 runs on the board to take the game and the series. The Rockies pen had been decent in the first three games of the series, giving up 3 runs in 12 innings, but could not get outs at crucial times and that led to their demise. So, now we get two days without baseball before the Phillies/Dodgers series starts on Thursday. I will have a breakdown of both the NLCS and the ALCS later on this week.
Ball State is a 3 point underdog at home against Bowling Green on Saturday. Neither team runs the ball very well, but Bowling Green has a superb passing attack led by Tyler Sheehan and his 1,960 yards and 11 TDs. Wide reciever Freddie Barnes has 75 catches for 722 yards and 5 TDs in 6 games. Both teams give up over 380 yards per game on defense, so this may be a high-scoring affair.
