The Braves are playing very well, to put it mildly, as they beat the Marlins 4-0 on Monday night. They have now won 7 straight games and 15 of their last 17. Jair Jurrjens won his 14th game of the season, pitching 7 innings and giving up only 5 hits. Peter Moylan and Rafael Soriano each pitched an inning of relief to close out the game. Chipper Jones had a homer and Nate McLouth, Brian McCann, and Garrett Anderson each had an RBI. The two teams play again tonight at 710p. Tim Hudson will start for the Braves.
Atlanta is 4 games behind the Phillies in the NL East and 2 games behind Colorado in the wild card race with 6 games remaining. Can we do it? YES WE CAN!!!!
