A good way to start

The Braves beat the Mets last night 5-3. Garrett Anderson was 3-for-4 with a home run to lead the offense. The pitching was great. Derek Lowe threw 6 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits. Manny Acosta, Peter Moylan, and Rafael Soriano each pitched a scoreless inning in relief. The Braves are still 6 games behind the Phillies in the NL East and 5.5 games behind the Giants for the wild card. The Braves and Mets play at 735p tonight. Jair Jurrjens will pitch for the Braves.

The Brownsburg 10s played last night, but I do not have the results from that game as of 8am. The 12s play tonight in the winner's bracket finals against Plainfield.

Lance Lynn will pitch tonight for the Springfield Cardinals. He will have some help on offense as Khalil Greene will be in Springfield for a rehab assignment.
