OMG! We won a one-run game!

The Braves beat the Marlins last night, 5-4. Greg Norton doubled home two runs in the bottom of the 8th to take the lead and Rafael Soriano pitched a scoreless ninth for the save. The Braves are now 3-16 in one-run games. Chipper Jones was 2 for 4 with a homer and 3 RBI. Jorge Campillo struggled on the mound, giving up 4 runs in 4 innings. His ERA is still a very good 1.79. Will Ohman pitched the 8th inning and got the win. Game three of the four game series is this afternoon at 105pm. Ton Glavine pitches for the Braves and Mark Hendrickson throws for the Marlins.

The Arizona State Sun Devils continued their dominance of the NCAA softball tournament by beating Texas A&M 11-0 to capture the school's first softball championship. Katie Burkhart struck out 13 hitters while only giving up 4 hits. She was named the tournament's most valuable player. Arizona State was 10-0 in the tournament and their 11 run margin in the final game was the biggest margin of victory in the clinching game of the tourney.

Tomorrow I will post my NCAA baseball picks and talk about the MLB draft that starts on Thursday afternoon.
